In Bulgaria, a high school graduation isn’t just a party—it’s a meaningful tradition shared deeply with family and friends. While the evening usually brings glamorous, school-organized events in luxurious hotels, the daytime often begins with more intimate celebrations. On May 27, 2023, I had the privilege of joining my dear friend Valya and her family for one such special gathering.
A Day of Connection and Celebration
Valya began her day already dressed in her elegant graduation outfit, ready for a full day of joy and emotion. Instead of starting with the evening glamour, her family hosted a heartfelt midday lunch filled with laughter, warmth, and pride. At 4:00 PM, Valya said goodbye to her family and left to join her classmates for the official evening party. The day reflected the perfect balance of tradition and celebration—starting with heartfelt family time and ending with a stylish send-off among friends.
